I recently purchased a Kishu Juniper very similar to the one pictured. After I designed and wired it, it is probably one of the best trees I have! The specimen I received was extremely healthy and well established in its pot. The soil in medium hardness Akadama which suits this tree wonderfully. It was truely ready for styling when I received it.
